Received his Business degree in 1977 from Universidad Catolica de Chile and his MBA from Wharton School in 1983. Worked with C&D International, a Chilean exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables until 1986, both in Chile from the exporting side, and the US on the import side of the business. In 1987 started with Sunny Valley in Philadelphia, at the time a small import company from Chile. Over the last 18 years the company has become a $ 17 million/year worldwide importer of fresh fruits and vegetables, combined with a domestic summer program of about $ 18 million/year.
